Suzanne Wilson, Reading

   Suzanne Wilson is certified as a Dyslexia Therapist, trained at the Multisensory Language Training Institute of NM. She is accredited by the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council and the International Dyslexia Association. She has a Master of Fine Arts from Boston University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Mexico. She has New Mexico State Licensure: Level Two Professional Pre-K-12; Specialty Area License with Endorsement in Reading, Visual Arts and Modern and Classical Languages. Since 2013, Suzanne has worked as a Reading Intervention Specialist at Taos Integrated School for the Arts (TISA), teaching students who are dyslexic and have difficulties with reading, writing, and/or spelling. The students receive lessons one-on-one, or in small groups, instructing them in Sounds In Syllables (SIS), a multisensory, structured language therapy. Her goal is to improve the students’ reading, writing and spelling as well as encourage their love of learning.
