TISA Lantern Walk- Thursday, November 4th 6-7pm @ TISA campus.
Taos Integrated School of the Arts has been celebrating the annual Lantern Walk since 2010. The children spend several weeks creating beautiful lanterns which are lit by candlelight. They walk a pathway through the darkness to symbolically bring light into the darkness with the coming of the cold, dark winter months. The idea comes from the festival of light traditionally celebrated in Europe during the early winter season. The Lantern Walk is about keeping the inner flame alive through the cold winter months and protecting that flame and carrying the flame onwards, sharing it with family and friends. It is about getting through the winter months with balance, and celebrating the lighted way together. The walk is a quiet contemplation with singing and light. Please join us for this beautiful community event and share in the music and light.
